Bentley Motors go live with GTA Net in March

Bentley Motors Parts and Accessories division have been using i2i software to automate the production of their export documentation for the past 17 years.   With 1,000 export shipments being despatched each week to locations world wide, most of which are for next day delivery, the need for speed and accuracy is critical to the business, and a system which can match their working practices is essential.

i2i's partnership approach to implementing GTA Net, has ensured that the needs of Bentley were fully understood.  Information from the Bentley business system is automatically sent to GTA Net, where SITPRO export documents are created and either printed or sent by email to ensure rapid delivery.     A small amount of customisation enabled some process documents to be added to the system to value add use of the data created during the shipping process.

Bentley chose to have some additional GTA Net modules so that the shipping data which is stored in GTA Net can again be re-used, and so avoid the need to re-key data.  The Intrastat module handles both despatches and arrivals, and the Third Party Access module can be used by the Freight Forwarder or by contract staff who need access to a limited amount of the information in order to complete their work.    By giving Customers restricted access to GTA Net through the Third Party Access module, Bentley will be able to give them the 24/7 access to collect documents and view information.

Bentley Motors also use i2i software to manage invoices produced by the business system.  Dealer invoices are published to a Deal Mailbox so that they can collect thier documents online, and i2i print tools manage this critical part of the Bentley business.
